Before running Opus Vastgoed, Eltjo has been employed as executive manager at major Dutch construction- and development companies such as Heijmans and Bam, working on utilitarian construction and development projects in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. In 2011 he became Director of Development and Constructions and Member of the Executive Board at G&S Construction (a renowned Dutch Real Estate Developer) until 2015. Early 2016 Eltjo founded Opus Vastgoed. Within Opus Vastgoed Eltjo focusses on multi-residential development projects and advisory services for complex development challenges, assigned by development companies and construction companies.
Eltjo Hamster is a real estate developer pur sang, with decades of experience and a deep understanding of commercial real estate and high-end residential development projects. He is widely knowledgeable in contract formation, with regard to purchase of construction sites, existing real estate and (re)developments, including contractor’s agreements. Some of his recent projects are Jaz by Steigenberger hotel, Amsterdam South East, headquarters Nauta Dutilh, Amsterdam South Axis, headquarters Chanel Benelux, Amsterdam South Axis, Renovation and extension Atrium, Amsterdam South Axis, Apartment building 900Mahler, Amsterdam South Axis. Eltjo holds a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and urban development (University of Utrecht) and a Propaedeutic diploma in business administration.
